Shield construction is a progressive engineering method for building tunnels. Lining segments are unimaginably precise products, with the manufacturing error of less than ±1∼2mm.
Taemyung Industrial Co., Ltd. produced concrete segments for the first time in Korea in 1987 and submitted them to an electrical tunnel construction site of the Korea Electric Power Company in Gwangbok-dong, Busan.
Our quality has been recognized by Japan, the birthplace of segment technology, and we were able to export segments to the Tokyo Power Company's project in Tokyo, Japan.
Taemyung is proud of its records, the first of its kind in Korea, in design, structural calculation of segments and mould design, and we want to share our unique technology concerning shield-construction-purpose segments with all construction companies .
